Constantia works especially well when you want a meaningful wine experience without committing to the longer transfer required for Stellenbosch or Franschhoek. The base half-day includes private central Cape Town collection and return, a registered guide, private vehicle, route planning and estate coordination, with two carefully selected estate experiences as the relaxed standard.
The published R1,895 amount is the starting price for the base private half-day ground service. Wine tastings, pairings, cellar experiences and meals are not automatically included and apply only when the exact supplier experience appears in the accepted booking confirmation. Your vehicle, registered guide and ground itinerary are private; estate tasting rooms, restaurants, gardens, prices and cellar spaces remain supplier-controlled and may include other visitors.

The standard route is built around two carefully selected estates. That allows enough time for proper tastings, conversation, heritage interpretation, photographs and an unhurried drive through the valley. A third estate may be possible when tastings are concise, the route is efficient and no lengthy meal or pairing is added.
Donovan selects the estates according to your wine preferences, preferred tasting style, architecture and garden interests, estate opening hours and current availability. You may request specific estates or wine styles, but nothing is promised until the supplier confirms it in writing.
The experience begins with private collection from approved central Cape Town areas and a short scenic transfer into the Constantia Valley. The guide introduces the valley’s historic character, landscape and relationship with Cape Town before the first confirmed tasting.
The second estate is chosen to contrast with the first. It may offer a different producer style, a premium flight, a food pairing, a cellar element or a particularly beautiful vineyard setting. Any tasting, pairing, meal or paid experience is included only when expressly listed in the accepted booking confirmation.
This is a private ground journey: the vehicle, guide and route are exclusive to your booking. Estate tasting rooms, restaurants, gardens and cellar experiences may still include other visitors unless a private venue or exclusive tasting has been separately arranged.

Fee information
Tasting fees: Wine tastings, premium flights, pairings and cellar experiences are included only when the exact estate and experience are expressly listed. Supplier menus, prices and availability can change, so no tasting should be assumed to form part of the base ground-service price.
Entrance fees: Standard estate access is generally free, but paid tastings, cellar experiences, heritage attractions and other supplier services are included only when expressly listed in the accepted booking confirmation.
Meals: Lunch is not included in the standard four-to-five-hour R1,895 starting price unless expressly listed. A light meal, platter or restaurant stop can be arranged, but it may reduce the number of estates visited or extend the tour. Any menu, allowance or reservation is confirmed before payment.
Important information
What to wear: Wear smart-casual, comfortable clothing and closed or stable shoes suitable for gravel, lawns and cellar floors. Bring sunscreen, sunglasses and a light layer because conditions on the mountain slopes can change.
Weather alternative: The tour generally operates in varied weather. Outdoor vineyard views, garden walks and scenic stops may be shortened or replaced, while confirmed indoor tastings usually continue subject to estate operations and safe road conditions.
Dietary: Dietary requirements, allergies and cross-contamination concerns must be disclosed before any pairing, platter or restaurant reservation is requested. Suitability depends on the selected estate or venue confirming what it can safely provide.
Booking notice: Book at least 48 hours in advance where possible. Earlier booking is recommended during peak travel periods, weekends and for premium tastings, food pairings or popular estate reservations.
Cancellation: Cancellation and rescheduling follow the accepted Along the Shaws Booking Terms together with every disclosed estate, tasting, pairing, restaurant and supplier condition. Prepaid reservations or special experiences may become non-refundable after confirmation. The applicable terms are disclosed before payment.
