3-day Cape Town to Cape Agulhas shared tour
Three scheduled days from Elgin wine country to Hermanus, Cape Agulhas, Gansbaai and Stony Point.
Day 1 travels from approved Cape Town collection points to selected Elgin wine estates, then follows the R44 Clarence Drive coastal route to Hermanus. Day 2 crosses the Overberg to the official southernmost point of the African continent and the historic Cape Agulhas lighthouse precinct, with an Elim or Agulhas-region tasting when it appears in the confirmed route.
Day 3 continues to Gansbaai for the independently operated Marine Big Five boat safari before visiting CapeNature’s Stony Point African penguin colony in Betty’s Bay and returning to Cape Town. The shared route is scheduled for the group, while the two nights of guesthouse accommodation remain private per booking. Exact estates, accommodation, supplier fees, daily timings and operating order are confirmed in writing.
Day 1 · Elgin & Hermanus
Shared Cape Town collection, selected Elgin wine tastings, Clarence Drive and the first confirmed guesthouse overnight in the Hermanus area.
Day 2 · Cape Agulhas
Visit Africa’s official southernmost point and the historic lighthouse precinct, with a cool-climate tasting only when it is part of the final written itinerary.
Day 3 · Gansbaai & Stony Point
A supplier-operated Marine Big Five safari is followed by the Stony Point African penguin colony before the shared return to Cape Town.
Shared Tour, Private Rooms
The route and transport are shared with confirmed guests; accommodation is private per booking, with exact properties and room arrangements confirmed in the quotation.
About the Gansbaai Marine Safari
Review the dedicated Marine Big 5 page for the supplier-operated boat experience, Dyer Island ecosystem context and natural wildlife expectations.
Want a Dedicated Hermanus Whale Cruise?
Hermanus is part of this three-day route, but a boat-based whale-watching cruise is a separate supplier experience unless specifically added and confirmed.
Want Shark Cage Diving Instead?
The standard Day 3 activity is a Marine Big Five boat safari, not shark-cage diving. Use the dedicated Gansbaai shark-cage page when cage participation is the priority.
