Table Mountain by Cableway when operating, then a supplier-operated tandem flight from Signal Hill or Lion’s Head when conditions allow.
Along the Shaws provides the private vehicle, Donovan Shaw or another approved registered guide, and the ground-itinerary coordination. Table Mountain Aerial Cableway Company controls the Cableway, summit access, ticket products, queues, weather closures and maintenance. The appointed specialist tandem paragliding supplier separately controls the pilot, meeting point, launch site, participant suitability, equipment, safety briefing and whether a flight proceeds.
The tandem flight does not launch from the Table Mountain summit. Cape Town tandem operators commonly use Signal Hill or Lion’s Head, with the actual site chosen around wind, access and safety. Neither launch site, actual airtime nor clear Table Mountain views are guaranteed. Standard or Fast Track Cableway tickets, flight fees and optional media are included only when expressly listed in the accepted quotation.
Not a Table Mountain Summit Launch
The Cableway and tandem flight are separate experiences. The appointed flight operator normally chooses Signal Hill or Lion’s Head according to live wind, access and safety conditions.
No Guaranteed Airtime or Universal Participant Limit
Flight duration and eligibility vary by operator and conditions. Ages, approximate weights and relevant health or mobility information must be supplied before confirmation.

See Cape Town from two very different perspectives in one carefully coordinated private ground journey: Table Mountain by Cableway when operating, followed by supplier-operated tandem paragliding when flying conditions allow.
Along the Shaws provides private Cape Town transport, itinerary coordination and Donovan Shaw or another approved registered guide, as confirmed before departure. Table Mountain Aerial Cableway Company operates the Cableway and controls its opening status, queues, ticket rules, weather closures, maintenance and summit access. A standard or Fast Track Cableway ticket is included only when the accepted quotation expressly lists that ticket type.
At the summit, your registered guide provides an orientation to Cape Town’s geography and major viewpoints. The summit remains a public attraction shared with other visitors, and the Cableway can close or change operating hours when conditions require it.
After descending, the day moves into a flexible staging period for the tandem flight. The appointed specialist paragliding supplier chooses the meeting point, launch site, pilot, safety briefing and whether conditions are suitable to fly. Flights generally use Signal Hill or Lion’s Head according to the operator and wind conditions; neither launch site is guaranteed in advance.
Actual airtime cannot be guaranteed. The activity window may include weather waiting, check-in, waiver completion, equipment fitting, safety briefing, a possible launch-site change, the tandem flight, landing and collection. The appointed pilot has final operational authority over participant suitability and whether the flight proceeds.
Meals, optional paragliding photographs or video, Fast Track Cableway access and other upgrades are included only when expressly stated in the accepted quotation. If one supplier activity can operate while the other cannot, Along the Shaws will discuss the practical options for the confirmed booking, subject to the relevant supplier conditions and the accepted Booking Terms.

Private collection from the confirmed Cape Town pickup point. The exact time is set around current Table Mountain Cableway operating hours and the paragliding supplier’s expected flight window.
Private transfer to the Table Mountain Lower Cableway Station and ascent when the Cableway is operating, subject to the confirmed ticket type, queues, weather and supplier operations.
Registered-guide orientation, viewpoints, photographs and an optional short walking route according to visibility, guest mobility and available time.
Return to the private vehicle and move into a flexible Atlantic Seaboard staging period, with an optional coffee, brunch or early lunch at guests’ own cost unless expressly included.
Receive the appointed tandem paragliding operator’s latest weather, meeting-point and launch-site instructions. Signal Hill or Lion’s Head may be used according to conditions and operator decisions.
Private transfer to the confirmed meeting or launch point followed by supplier check-in, waiver, equipment fitting and safety briefing.
Tandem paragliding takes place only when the appointed pilot confirms suitable conditions. Actual airtime, launch site and landing area cannot be guaranteed and may change on the day.
Along the Shaws regroups with guests at the confirmed landing or collection point and provides the private return transfer to the agreed Cape Town drop-off.

Fee information
Entrance fees: The quotation must state separately whether standard Cableway tickets, Fast Track tickets and tandem paragliding fees are included.
Meals: Meals and drinks are excluded unless expressly included. The itinerary allows time for a coffee, brunch or early lunch before the protected flight window.
Important information
Weather-dependent — Donovan will advise on adjustments.
What to wear: Closed shoes, comfortable trousers or long pants and a light wind-resistant jacket are recommended. Loose footwear and unsecured clothing may not be accepted by the activity operator.
Weather alternative: If either activity cannot proceed, Donovan may offer a revised sequence, partial itinerary, rescheduling, supplier credit or an agreed Cape Town alternative. Refunds and credits remain subject to supplier conditions, confirmed ticket status and the accepted Booking Terms.
Booking notice: At least 72 hours recommended. Earlier booking is advisable during peak periods, for groups and when Fast Track Cableway tickets are requested.
Cancellation: Cancellation and refund treatment is governed by the accepted Along the Shaws Booking Terms and the conditions of the Cableway and tandem paragliding supplier. Weather cancellation does not automatically guarantee a cash refund where supplier credits or rescheduling conditions apply.
