Question 1

Can I book a private Cape Town airport transfer with Along the Shaws?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Along the Shaws offers pre-booked private Cape Town International Airport transfers by quotation. The current airport-transfer service includes flight monitoring, meet-and-greet arrangements, luggage assistance and an included waiting-time allowance, with child seats available when requested and confirmed. The final vehicle, destination, collection instructions and price are confirmed in writing before travel.

Question 2

Are attraction entrance fees included in the transfer price?

Accepted Answer

No. Attraction and activity transfers provide private transport to and from the venue. Entrance fees, tickets and any on-site activity costs are separate and paid directly to the attraction or supplier.

Question 3

What is the cancellation policy for long-distance transfers?

Accepted Answer

Cancellation and rescheduling are governed by the current published Along the Shaws Booking Terms. Long-distance journeys can involve substantial driver time, route planning and committed costs, so any cancellation charge is assessed reasonably case by case according to notice, work already completed, costs already committed, resale potential and the circumstances of the booking. Any non-refundable supplier or route costs already committed may remain payable.

Question 4

What is the cancellation policy for attraction and activity transfers?

Accepted Answer

Cancellation and rescheduling of the Along the Shaws ground-transfer service are governed by the current published Booking Terms. If the underlying attraction or supplier cancels, changes time or becomes unavailable, that supplier's own refund or rebooking terms apply separately. Any committed supplier costs are treated separately from the transport service unless expressly included in writing.

Question 5

Can additional stops be added to a private driver hire arrangement?

Accepted Answer

Yes, additional stops may be arranged as part of a private driver hire booking, subject to routing and timing feasibility. Stops added after confirmation may affect the price if they extend beyond the agreed hours or distance. Please discuss your preferred stops when requesting a quotation.

Question 6

Can you accommodate accessibility requirements for long-distance transfers?

Accepted Answer

We aim to accommodate passengers with mobility requirements where practical. Please disclose wheelchair, walker, transfer-assistance or other accessibility needs before booking so vehicle suitability and any assistance requirements can be reviewed. For longer routes, rest stops can be planned around the confirmed journey where suitable facilities are reasonably available.

Question 7

Are after-hours airport transfers available?

Accepted Answer

After-hours airport transfers may be available by prior arrangement and may attract an additional surcharge. This includes early morning and late-night collections. Please advise your flight timing when enquiring so that availability and any applicable surcharge can be confirmed.

Question 8

What is the cancellation policy for corporate transfers?

Accepted Answer

The accepted Along the Shaws Booking Terms govern cancellation and rescheduling. Any committed supplier or special-arrangement costs may become non-refundable after confirmation. The applicable terms are provided before payment or booking confirmation.

Question 9

Can you accommodate accessibility requirements for custom multi-day transport?

Accepted Answer

We aim to accommodate passengers with mobility or accessibility requirements where the available vehicle and transport arrangement allow it. Please disclose wheelchair, walker, transfer-assistance or other mobility needs when enquiring so the vehicle and practical assistance arrangements can be reviewed and confirmed before booking.

Question 10

Are child seats available for multi-day transport?

Accepted Answer

Question 11

Are winelands transfers accessible for passengers with mobility needs?

Accepted Answer

Some wine estates have uneven terrain or steps, so if you are visiting estates as part of a transfer, we can discuss accessibility at each stop.

Question 12

What is the cancellation policy for private driver hire?

Accepted Answer

The current Along the Shaws Booking Terms govern cancellation and rescheduling. Any committed supplier or special-arrangement costs may become non-refundable after confirmation, and the applicable terms are provided before payment. Because a vehicle and driver are reserved for the agreed operating period, please give as much notice as possible if plans change.

Question 13

Accepted Answer

Child seats and booster seats can be requested in advance for attraction and activity transfers. Please provide the age and number of children when enquiring so availability, suitability and any associated cost can be confirmed before travel.

Question 14

Are attraction transfers accessible for passengers with mobility needs?

Accepted Answer

We aim to accommodate disclosed mobility requirements in the transport arrangement where a suitable vehicle and assistance can be provided. Attraction or activity accessibility is separate and depends on the relevant venue or supplier. Please confirm any wheelchair, walker or transfer-assistance needs in advance so both the transport requirements and supplier accessibility can be checked separately.

Question 15

Accepted Answer

Question 18

What happens if an attraction is closed or fully booked?

Accepted Answer

Attraction and activity availability is controlled by the attraction or supplier. If a venue closes, sells out or changes its operating status, send the updated information through the confirmed contact channel as soon as possible. Along the Shaws can assess whether the ground-transfer timing or destination can be changed, subject to availability and any revised route or waiting requirements. Supplier refunds or rebooking remain subject to the supplier's own terms.

Question 19

What is the cancellation policy for custom multi-day transport?

Accepted Answer

Any cancellation charge is assessed reasonably case by case, taking into account notice, committed costs, work already completed, resale potential and the circumstances of the booking. Any third-party or supplier costs already committed may be non-refundable. The applicable arrangement is confirmed in your booking documentation.
